The Tough-1 Magnetic Hock Boots increase blood flow while reducing your horse's inflammation and soreness. The comfortably fitting boot aids in the treatment of inflammation, arthritis, bog spavins, and other hock-related issues. The increased circulation from these boots aids in oxygenation and nutrient supply to the treatment area.
Six unipolar magnets are placed between the layers in each boot for maximum benefit and work with the electrically charged particles naturally occurring within the blood. The magnets measure 1100 GAUSS, which is low to medium penetration. These wraps are not meant to be used during exercise and should only be used in short intervals. Start with 15-20 minute treatments in the beginning and gradually increase the duration of each treatment over time.
Do not use it for longer than 8 hours at a time. The boots are easily adjusted to fit with a “quick grip” closure.
