1. How do I order a prescription product?
To place an order for a prescription product you can call us at 1-888-837-3626. Once an order is placed we will hold it until we receive a valid prescription from your vet. You will need to use a vet that you have a valid client doctor relationship with. That is a current vet who has examined your horse and has deemed this medication necessary.

Your prescription must contain the following information:

- Your name, address and phone number
- Your animal’s name and species
- The veterinarian’s license number and state they are licensed in
- The veterinarian’s address and phone number
- The name of the drug, dosage and directions
- The number of refills allowed

2. Will you contact my veterinarian for a prescription request?
Only if you and your veterinarian have discussed the prescription and he/she has determined that he wants to prescribe a medication for your animal. If you have made the initial contact with your vet and he/she has made a request, only then can we call for a verbal authorization. We cannot solicit prescriptions without the veterinarian’s permission.

3. How do I get the prescription to Farmvet.com?
The original prescription can be mailed directly to us (except from the state of Michigan). Farmvet Pharmacy
1041 Sneed Road
Franklin, TN 37069

The prescription can be faxed to us (1-615-574-6057) if it originates directly from the veterinarian’s office.

Your veterinarian can call (1-615-277-5602) and prescribe directly to our pharmacist.

Our office cannot solicit prescriptions on your behalf from your veterinarian. That decision is made by your veterinarian based upon a physical examination of your animal. If a prescription drug is appropriate according to your veterinarian, then you may request that he/she call or fax us with the prescription order or he/she may write a prescription and give you the original copy.

4. Can I fax the prescription to you?
No, according to state and federal laws, faxed prescriptions must originate from the veterinarian’s office. You can, however, mail the original prescription to us.

5. Can I scan the prescription and e mail it to you?
No, here, again, we cannot accept prescriptions in this manner. If you have an original prescription you may mail it to us.

6. How do I know if my prescription is refillable?
Refills are indicated on your prescription label.

7. Can I give you a prescription for all of my animals?
Prescriptions are to be written for a specific animal. Please provide names of your animals to your veterinarian.

8. Can I return a prescription product?
For the protection of the public health and safety, prescription drugs or devices which have been dispensed and which have left the control of the pharmacist or dispenser shall not be returned or exchanged for resale. Due to state and federal laws and public health, we cannot accept pharmaceuticals for return.
