The average dose for horses is 200 mg, administered intramuscularly. Injections may be given as necessary in accordance with the severity of the condition and clinical response. DEPO-MEDROL may also be administered via synovial injection in horses. The average initial dose is 120 mg, with a range from 40 to 240 mg.
