Ketoconazole is an antifungal drug. It inhibits the growth of fungal organisms by interfering with the formation of the fungal cell wall. It is effective against fungus or yeast, such as the ones that cause skin infections. It has also been effective against lymph nodes, eyes, bone and respiratory tract infections.
