Branched chain amino acids are used in emergency rooms across America to reduce the associated trauma caused by bullet wounds, severe burns and vehicle impact on humans. Severe liver and muscular protein degradation during these life-threatening conditions are well documented.In developing branched chains for human administration, research hinted that if extra branch chains could be suppled orally and readily absorbed into the bloodstream, they would retard lactic acid build up -another associated problem during exercise.
