Bute Oral Suspension

Phenylbutazone (Bute) Oral Suspension is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat pain, inflammation, and fever in horses. Bute suspension can be prescribed to relieve pain/lameness resulting from soft tissue injury, muscle soreness, bone and joint problems, or laminitis.

Due to demand and our efforts to get you our most popular compounds easily, we will only have a small portion available online in certain flavors. If you need a specific compound that you can't find on our website or have a special flavor request, please email us at info@farmvet.com.

Prescription Drug Policy:

Prescriptions CAN NOT be shipped to North Carolina, Hawaii or Alaska at this time.

Prescription drugs can only be shipped upon receipt of an original prescription from a licensed veterinarian. FarmVet can accept an original prescription in one of the following ways:
 

• The original prescription may be mailed to:
  1254 Old Hillsboro Rd, Franklin,TN 37069 
• A licensed veterinarian may fax the Rx to 615-370-8502.
  The fax must originate from the veterinarian's office.
• A licensed veterinarian can call & leave a voicemail with your prescription information with our pharmacy at 615-277-5602.

Prescriptions are non-refundable. Prescriptions are refillable if indicated by your vet, for up to one year from the original date. At the end of one year, prescriptions must be updated. Written prescriptions must include the veterinarian's license number, telephone number, and address. Federal law restricts the use of Rx drugs to use by, or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

US Compounding Regulations:

Compounding pharmacies are regulated by State Boards of Pharmacy, subject to inspections by both State and Federal regulatory agencies. 

Compounds themselves are not reviewed by the same FDA processes that a commercial manufactured product would be.
