Description

RabVac 3 is a killed virus vaccine that protects your animal against the Rabies virus. A dangerous disease that can cause inflammation in the brain, Rabies can spread through the bite of infected animals. Protecting your animal against this disease is important for the health of your pet, but also for the health of other pets they may come in contact with. 

The RabVac 3 vaccine has been shown to be effective in cats, dogs, and horses over 3 months of age. RabVac 3 meets 3-year immunity requirements for dogs and cats, and 1-year requirements for horses.

Features:
  • 10ml Vial 
  • Prevents Rabies infection in cats, dogs, and horses
  • 1 mL dose will immunize cats and dogs for up to 3 years
  • One 2 mL dose will protect horses for up to 1 year

Administer

For dogs and cats: Inject one 1 mL dose subcutaneously or intramuscularly in the thigh. After the first administration, revaccinate one year later. For all subsequent administrations, revaccinate every three years. 

For horses: Inject one 2 mL dose (must use two 1 mL vials) intramuscularly. Revaccinate once per year.

Rabvac 3 can ONLY be sold to the following states: AZ, CO, DE, FL, KY, LA, MA, MI, NE, OH, PA, SD, VA, WI

In addition, local laws in some areas may require a Rabies vaccine be administered by a licensed veterinarian. Please consult with your veterinarian before purchasing a Rabies vaccine to ensure you can safely and legally administer the vaccine.

Caution

Store between 35 and 46 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not freeze. Shake well before use. Safety in pregnant animals has not been tested. Do not mix with other products, except as specified on the label. In case of human exposure, contact a physician. Local reactions may occur at the injection site after subcutaneous administration.

This product may cause anaphylaxis and/or other inflammatory immune-mediated hypersensitivity reactions. Epinephrine, corticosteroids, and antihistamines may be used depending on the reaction. Consult a veterinarian if a reaction occurs.

Ingredients

Contains gentamicin and thimerosal added as preservatives.
