Uniprim Powder

Neogen's Uniprim Powder combines sulfadiazine and trimethoprim to help treat bacterial infections in horses. Some of those infections include surface infections such as wounds or sores, respiratory tract infections and abscesses.

Prescription Drug Policy:

Prescriptions CAN NOT be shipped to North Carolina, Hawaii or Alaska at this time.

Prescription drugs can only be shipped upon receipt of an original prescription from a licensed veterinarian. FarmVet can accept an original prescription in one of the following ways:
 

• The original prescription may be mailed to:

• A licensed veterinarian may fax the Rx to 615-370-8502.
  The fax must originate from the veterinarian's office.
• A licensed veterinarian can call & leave a voicemail with your prescription information with our pharmacy at 615-277-5602.

Prescriptions are non-refundable. Prescriptions are refillable if indicated by your vet, for up to one year from the original date. At the end of one year, prescriptions must be updated. Written prescriptions must include the veterinarian's license number, telephone number, and address. Federal law restricts the use of Rx drugs to use by, or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

Uniprim Powder should not be used if your horse is showing marked liver parenchymal damage, has a history of sulfonamide sensitivity or has blood dyscrasias.

Antibiotics can cause diarrhea or colic. There have also been reports that the injection site can become swollen and red, and could be painful to the touch. If your horse has any of these symptoms or a immediate allergic reaction is observed stop usage and consult with your veterinarian immediately.
