Description

The Texas Haynet Round Bale Net is made of UV resistant nylon mesh and makes feeding round bales more economical with up to 10% less waste per bale. Using these bale nets can improve digestion and slow feed by regulating hay intake. It can also help to calm aggressive behavior and reduce herd stress. The knotted mesh net has 1.75" and 3" hole options and holds 4' x 4' - 6' x 6'. Great for horses, cows, llamas, sheep, goats and alpacas.

Caution

Be careful with shod animals. The manufacturer recommends using a feeder with a solid barrier between the shoe and net. Use caution with horned animals with tags.

Worth it

My horses love it, of course it took a full month for them to adjust but they spend more time eating and they're happier because of it. I'm loving it because the net pays for itself in the first two months when you compare with how many fewer bales you are putting in the pasture. They still waste a little because horses are picky and destructive, but nothing like what was being wasted before using the net.
