Administer

General Administration: Mix Thyro-L powder thoroughly into your horse’s daily grain ration to ensure complete intake.

Starting Dose: Administer 0.1 mg to 0.15 mg of levothyroxine sodium per kg of body weight per day.

For an average 1,100 lb (500 kg) horse, this equals 50 mg to 75 mg daily, or approximately 1 to 1.5 level teaspoons of Thyro-L powder.

Adjustments: Dosage may be modified based on clinical response and under the direction of a licensed veterinarian.

Important: Consistency is key. Administer at the same time each day for best results.

Prescriptions are non-refundable. Prescriptions are refillable if indicated by your vet, for up to one year from the original date. At the end of one year, prescriptions must be updated. Written prescriptions must include the veterinarian's license number, telephone number, and address. Federal law restricts the use of Rx drugs to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
