Application

Spray Use:
Brush horse to remove dirt and dust. Spray the entire body against the coat’s direction for full coverage. Reapply every 1 to 17 days, or after bathing or heavy rain. Brush after application to enhance coat shine.

Wipe Use:
Brush to remove dirt and dust. Apply product to a soft cloth and wipe the horse’s face and ears. Reapply every 1 to 17 days, or after bathing or rain. Brush after application for shine. Do not over apply or exceed two ounces per use.

Premise Spray Use:
Spray areas where insects gather, using 1 quart per 250 sq. ft. Direct spray to insects for quick knockdown. Treat around doors and screens to deter entry. Cover surfaces without causing runoff. For cracks and voids, spray carefully to avoid dripping. Spot treatments must stay within two square feet.

Works - But with different smell

Works well. But does have a different smell from the other Ultra products. The smell lingers, which is probably a good thing for bugs, but took some getting used to.

Even better than EX

I’m not sure how they pulled it off, but Gold works just as well as EX—and honestly, it seems to last even longer. If you’re dealing with a serious fly problem, I’d definitely give this a try.

Strong, But Still Safe for Sensitive Horses

Works fabulously and very strongly for a good while. However, the horse sweats it off quickly once they break out along their body. I’d say overall a 10/10 if your horse isn’t going to sweat too much on the ride. Worked fine on my sensitive horse, though! Absolutely no problems with hives or swelling or bumps.

Perfect for Long Trail Rides

I used UltraShield Gold on a long trail ride, and it worked great. My horse is very sensitive to flies, but they didn’t bother him at all while using this spray. It has a unique, strong smell that lasts, and the protection really held up for hours.

It works really good and I like it, but I did have one Horse having an allergic reaction to. It broke out in hives everywhere but no one else did.

It worked great. Not only does it work instantly, but it lasts an entire ride. Definitely going to be using more of it.

Good Everyday Fly Spray

We have used it for two shows, we noticed it doesn't seem to irritate their skin which we liked a lot, not the most potent we have used as far as no flies getting on them but seems to last a long time if that makes sense. I think it's a good everyday fly spray that won't tear their skin up but for showing would probably want something a little stronger.
