Description

Ichon is a sterile post-surgical lavage used to prevent adhesions, improve wound healing, and strengthen scar tissue to improve surgical outcomes. Ichon is Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan (PSGAG) and can be used in dogs, cats, and horses.

Prescriptions CAN NOT be shipped to North Carolina, Hawaii or Alaska at this time.

Prescription drugs can only be shipped upon receipt of an original prescription from a licensed veterinarian. FarmVet can accept an original prescription in one of the following ways:

  • A licensed veterinarian may fax the Rx to 615-370-8502.
    The fax must originate from the veterinarian's office.
  • A licensed veterinarian can call & leave a voicemail with your prescription information with our pharmacy at 615-505-3136.

Prescriptions are non-refundable. Prescriptions are refillable if indicated by your vet, for up to one year from the original date. At the end of one year, prescriptions must be updated. Written prescriptions must include the veterinarian's license number, telephone number, and address. Federal law restricts the use of Rx drugs to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

generic form of adequan

My vet recommended this for my 36 year old gelding who has arthitis. This works wonders and I can still ride him. Plus is cheaper than adequan. Love it!

This product is the generic form of adequan. The drug functions the same. I did the 7 dose loading , a shot every 4 days. my two old (20 yrs+) abused rescue TWHorses are moving great. My mare would not move well down hill for years, now walks down easy and smooth with no stabbing. I could tell the difference after the third initial dose. i have used the oral joint supplements for over 10 years with almost no change in way of going. I knew Adequan improves joint health from many years of Endurance, the cost was reasonable , but now way too high for me. This product is very cost affordable. I no long use oral supplements. The mares will get the one shot a month for as long as I own them. A plus to Farm Vet Tech for helping me get this setup. I get the 4 dose auto shipped every other month, saves on shipping

Miracle for our girl

Journey has been suffering from a back injury and now has osteoarthritis. Our vet recommended Ichon, the generic form of Adequan. We are in week two of the loading portion of the prescription and have found no adverse reactions. She appears to be feeling much better and moving more easily. The best thing we have noticed is that she does not struggle to stand. We will continue to support her as she heals. We strongly recommend Ichon, if prescribed by your veterinarian.
