This bit is single-jointed and cheltenham gag bits are great for horses who need to raise their headset. The reins can be connected to the ring on the gag cheekpieces (sold separately) that run through the bit. Pulling on the rein lifts the bit into the horse's lips and encourages them to lift their head.
