Hoof Savers

EquiFit's newly introduced Hoof Savers provide custom-fitted, cushioned protection for your horse's hooves. Constructed using EVA Foam technology similar to that used in the running shoe industry, these pads help relieve hoof pain associated with laminitis, soreness, stone bruises, and competition-related stress, as well as protection for shoeless hooves. The closed cell construction allows you to use packing or poultice products underneath without absorption into pads.

Before cutting the Hoof Saver to fit your horse, have your horse stand on the pad for a minute to create an imprint of the shape of his hoof. Cut the Hoof Saver pad to the desired shape. Add packing, poultice, or medicated products as necessary, and then place the pad over the medication. Wrap with vet wrap, duct tape, or EquiFit's Pack-N-Stick Hoof Tape to secure. 

FarmVet Tip:
Since these pads conform to the shape of your horse's hoof, they should not be used on more than one horse in order to maintain their custom fit. However, use the same pads on the same horse as many times as you want!
