Life Data Hoof Clay

Life Data Hoof Clay is a very pliable antimicrobial clay that easily packs and remains in place in hoof defects, old nail holes, and cracks. It provides long-term protection against bacterial and fungal invasions, which can cause poor hoof quality, wall separations, crumbling horn, white line disease, and thrush. Life Data Hoof Clay is non-irritating and safe to apply without gloves. 

A safe to handle and non-caustic formulation containing silicon (clay), grain extract, tea tree oil, iodine, and yucca extract.

For Hoof Wall Defects:
Hoof should be dry and clean before application. Use fingers or a tongue depressor to press Life Data Hoof Clay into areas of concern such as white line separations, crumbling hoof horn, hoof cracks, and old nail holes. As a general guidelines, apply twice per week in wet conditions and less frequently in dry conditions.

For White Line Disease:
Barefoot horses:
Hoof should be dry and clean before application. Apply directly to white line area and into any hoof wall defects. Re-apply twice per week.

Shod horses:
Hoof should be dry and clean before application. Pull shoes and apply directly to white line area and into any hoof wall defects. Re-apply at each shoe reset. Life Data Hoof Clay can be used routinely under shoes as a White Line Disease preventative. It is acceptable to drive nails through the Hoof Clay and into the hoof wall.

For thrush:
Thoroughly pick, clean and dry the sulci of the frog. Pack the sulci and affected areas with Life Data Hoof Clay. Re-apply twice per week.
