Administer

On the first day of treatment, give Metacam Oral Suspension as a single dose of 0.2 mg per kg of your dog’s body weight. From day 2 onward, administer 0.1 mg per kg once daily, either mixed with your dog’s food or given directly into the mouth. Always follow your veterinarian’s instructions carefully and refer to the package insert for detailed weight-based dosing guidelines.

Prescription drugs can only be shipped upon receipt of an original prescription from a licensed veterinarian. FarmVet can accept an original prescription in one of the following ways:

Prescriptions are non-refundable. Prescriptions are refillable if indicated by your vet, for up to one year from the original date. At the end of one year, prescriptions must be updated. Written prescriptions must include the veterinarian's license number, telephone number, and address. Federal law restricts the use of Rx drugs to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
