Description

ReBalance is an FDA-approved, safe and effective treatment for horses with equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM) caused by Sarcocystis neurona. The active ingredients (Sulfadiazine 250mg/ml and pyrimethamine 12.5mg/ml) inhibit folic acid synthesis at two different sites, in the same synthetic pathway. 32oz bottle.

Prescriptions CAN NOT be shipped to North Carolina, Hawaii or Alaska at this time.

Prescription drugs can only be shipped upon receipt of an original prescription from a licensed veterinarian. FarmVet can accept an original prescription in one of the following ways:

  • A licensed veterinarian may fax the Rx to 615-370-8502.
    The fax must originate from the veterinarian's office.
  • A licensed veterinarian can call & leave a voicemail with your prescription information with our pharmacy at 615-505-3136.

Prescriptions are non-refundable. Prescriptions are refillable if indicated by your vet, for up to one year from the original date. At the end of one year, prescriptions must be updated. Written prescriptions must include the veterinarian's license number, telephone number, and address. Federal law restricts the use of Rx drugs to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

Looks tasty, but kind of heavy when I have to bring in cases of them. Also, hard to pronounce.

Affordable EPM Option

Compared to other EPM treatments, ReBalance is much more budget-friendly. It worked well for our needs, and my gelding has made noticeable progress. Great results without breaking the bank.

Part of Our Long-Term Plan

We’re using ReBalance as part of our vet’s suggested treatment plan for my horse’s EPM. It’s been helping keep symptoms under control and has had no side effects. I'm very happy with it.

Solid Improvement

My biggest concern was how my horse would tolerate the medication, but he’s had zero side effects with ReBalance. He eats it all, has energy, and is gradually improving. Couldn’t ask for more.
