Trifexis from Elanco is a preventative heartworm medication and flea killer. The Trifexis formula also prevents flea infestation and hookworm and roundworm infections. This monthly medication comes in a beef-flavored tablet, six in a box, that your dog is sure to love.

Prescriptions CAN NOT be shipped to North Carolina, Hawaii or Alaska at this time.

Prescription drugs can only be shipped upon receipt of an original prescription from a licensed veterinarian. FarmVet can accept an original prescription in one of the following ways:
 
  • The original prescription may be mailed to:

  • A licensed veterinarian may fax the Rx to 615-370-8502.
    The fax must originate from the veterinarian's office.
  • A licensed veterinarian can call & leave a voicemail with your prescription information with our pharmacy at 615-505-3136.

Prescriptions are non-refundable. Prescriptions are refillable if indicated by your vet, for up to one year from the original date. At the end of one year, prescriptions must be updated. Written prescriptions must include the veterinarian's license number, telephone number, and address. Federal law restricts the use of Rx drugs to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

Caution

  • Store between 68 - 77 degrees
  • Do not give Trifexis to puppies and dogs younger than 8 weeks and smaller than 5lb
  • Do not exceed recommended dosage

Trifexis, DOGS HATE IT

This medicine may do what it is intended but getting your pet to actually eat it is like getting the to drink lighter fluid. What is the point of making a medicine that pets absolutely hate so much that you have to cut it up into tiny pieces all while not doing it around then so they don't catch a whiff of the medicine! I can't even hide it in a hot dog and get my dog to eat it!!!!! WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME

My dog is pretty picky about her food and any treats she is offered, but she does not hesitate to take a Trifexis once a month. I break it up in pieces the size of the rest of her food and she scarfs it down.

Be Responsible With This Medicine

73 lb Dobie girl gets half pill/month of the 60-120 lb variety. Works wonderfully. She doesn't like them so she gets the throat toss/neck rub/+treat method. This is powerful medicine with great clinical efficacy. Elanco makes soybean herbicides. Consult your vet.

Picky eater!

My dog is very picky when it comes to treats or medication. He is on Trifexis, but will not take the pill. He gets a little helping of wet food every night, so when it is time for his pill, I put it in his bowl and add just enough water for it to dissolve. Then I add the wet food to the pill and mix it altogether. He hasn't figured it out yet!

A Trifexis Treat!

Our dog loves this and gets excited every time we open the box...he thinks it's a treat! We only wish it hadn't gone up in price $25 since our last order!
